Early most mornings I start off with painting my early dawn palette knife on canvas. Something I look forward to with a morning brew!  Each piece is an inspiring warm-up... a loose workout.  Many become my inspiration for a larger painting.  When the weather permits I use these small canvas sizes for my Plein Air paintings - in Algonquin Park, the Kootenays or Florida everglades.  These field studies always end up as a larger studio painting.

These are no larger then 12" x 12" - some are as small as 8" x 6".
